- 4VIA is a morning and night routine. IM8 Essentials Pro is one morning drink, with nothing for the night.
- 4VIA includes NR (125 mg), the NAD⁺ precursor with the longest human research record and GB novel-food authorisation. Essentials Pro's current panel lists no NAD⁺ precursor.
- 4VIA costs less: £1.77 a serving on the 3-Month Supply against £2.61, about 32% less. On a single month, £2.30 against £2.97.
- 4VIA's 10 billion CFU is counted at the end of shelf life, across five cultures. IM8 lists two.
- Both cover vitamin D3, K2 and iodine at the same amounts. IM8 has higher amounts of a few ingredients, including CoQ10.
IM8 built its brand on comparison pages. So here's ours: the same products, the same criteria, every figure from IM8's own UK-facing website, with the date we checked it.

Price per serving is our arithmetic. IM8's panel on its UK site uses US %DV, so we compare amounts rather than percentages.
What separates them
1. A routine for the whole day. Your body does important work overnight. 4VIA pairs the morning scoop with Rest Phase™, a night formula, and splits magnesium and zinc between morning and night. Essentials Pro is taken once, in the morning. IM8's stack adds a second product, but both are taken together, in the morning.
2. NR, chosen on purpose. 4VIA includes 125 mg of NR. Essentials Pro's current panel lists no NAD⁺ precursor, although one of IM8's UK pages says its CRT-8 blend contains NMN; we couldn't confirm it from the current label. IM8's separate Longevity product lists 600 mg of NMN. We chose NR for three reasons:
- The longer human research record. NR has been tested in randomised human trials since the mid-2010s, with consistent increases in blood NAD⁺.
- It's authorised. NR chloride is an authorised novel food in GB for supplements, up to 300 mg a day for adults. NMN isn't authorised in GB; an application is still under assessment.
- It enters cells as it is. NMN is generally thought to be converted to NR outside the cell before it can get in, so "one step closer to NAD⁺" isn't the advantage it sounds like.
3. Cultures you can count on. 4VIA uses five cultures, 10 billion CFU, counted at the end of shelf life. Essentials Pro lists two cultures at 10 billion CFU, without saying when that's counted.
4. Clear doses. Several of IM8's actives sit inside blends with one total weight: the 100 mg CRT-8 blend holds six ingredients, including spermidine, with no individual amounts. In 4VIA, every ingredient has its own amount: spermidine 5 mg, NR 125 mg, saffron 30 mg standardised to 2% crocin.
5. A UK label you can read. IM8's panel on its UK site uses US %DV, not the UK %NRV system. We compare amounts in the table above for that reason.
6. Price. About 32% less per serving on 4VIA's 3-Month Supply, and about 23% less on the 1-Month Supply.
Where IM8 has the edge
- Higher amounts of some ingredients: CoQ10 (100 mg against 50 mg), vitamin C, B12 and MSM. Higher isn't automatically better (see Systems nutrition vs high doses).
- Sport certification: IM8 states NSF Certified for Sport. 4VIA tests every batch and publishes the results, but isn't third-party certified yet.
- A dedicated electrolyte blend.
The bottom line
Both are broad morning formulas with the basics covered. If you want one morning drink with higher doses of a few ingredients and sport certification, IM8 Essentials Pro does that. If you want a routine for the whole day, NR in clearly stated amounts, and a lower price per serving, choose 4VIA.
